a broken bottle of Cava in the entrance
smashed to a million pieces
so many bags and bodies
up the elevator
the kind of make your heart stop
beating for a second
the kind of make your mind wander off
to a new life for a second
The kind of wish you could
just be the person that lives in this house
for a second
for a few minutes
for a few hours
a new bottle of Cava in the kitchen
popped and poured into three glasses
a few nights are better than nothing
a taste of what a foreign version of you
could have been
would have been
jump in the car
we are going to Taco Bell
