Ask, and I Will Say
poem by Arya F. Jenkins
Who are you
Where are you from She wants to know really And so I tell her I’m from everywhere and nowhere at once Attracted to women and Kind eyes Wherever I may find them Sleepless Shot through with nights Intoxicating although I drink only light Sleep with me, she says I want to be rocked back Where do you want to go? Do we let go like kites Screaming in the wind? Or do we tumble lost And carefree? My one song to the moon is When will you see me? To my beloved I say Save your words Give me only your grace Breath and touch The anchor of your breast So that I may sail us Into the moontide. |
